To continue the exercises, I searched free online coloring pages for a line drawing to work from. I had to erase a bit because I tend to get more heavy-handed as I search and get lost, I need to work on keeping it light and sketchy.

My Level 1s... Starting getting more confident by the third one. practice, practice, practice...

Running a bit "behind" but this is my attempt at simplifying the boots before watching Stan's demo of them. I definitely got caught up in the detail of the laces as others did. I'm looking forward to watching the video now to try to better understand what is important versus noise. I'm also seeing the perspective and proportion issues, but, later... they're just boots.

Here's my level 1 snail. I think I'm taking too long and calculating too much. I spent some time just ghosting and redrawing the lines to build more confidence.

Day 2. An onion...

I've been trying to start a daily drawing practice; perfect time for a challenge! I had some time before my Kobudo class, and realized I could draw my Sai.

First go at Mario Mushrooms. This is a great exercise... a lot that I need to work on.

Pear #1 before watching demos. Pear #3 after watching demos. Currently using a single mechanical writing pencil. I'll switch to artist pencils as soon as I figure out where I put them :P
