added comment inThe Perspective Course
I know this course still has a long way to go, but I already feel more confident it tackling complex problems. For example, drawing a bicycle. If I know what it looks from the side, I can put it in a box and feel it out.
I think you understand the theory, but you might get a tidier result if you rule a top line and a bottom line and make sure all your letters are the same height

I have drawn so many anvils. Many didn't get seen through to the end because they became lost causes, but here are two I saw through.
The one facing away... It might have been a problem with my measurements, maybe it really is that foreshortened, but the horn is barely visible. I could cheat it by elongating my cube and adding it in...
the same thing happened for me where the horn got absolutely squished. i must also add, that i for some reason find the first drawing very appealing to look at!

Hi Mashall, thanks for the feedback. I personally feel the biggest difference in my line quality is not the inks but the first ones were drawn freehand and the latter ones were drawn with a ruler. I guess it's tempting to go in with a pen like all the greats even though I'm still not there yet!

Here's the Jimny yet again. The bonnet, door and trunk can be divided into thirds but I think in both instances it ended up a little elongated.
I did another attempt with the grid template. I feel like this one is more proportionate than my free-handed attempts! However, it got so distorted towards the bottom and back it was basically impossible to draw in any further detail.
I've also attached my iso for the Jimny from the previous lesson for comparison

I'm still playing catch-up. I attempted this once before during the blob method (you can see my free handed attempt reattached as well as my newer ruled attempt.) I pondered using a simpler object but stuck to my guns and drew the Jimny again. Every time I guessed a measurement I worried about the thoughts of my progeny.
