Decided that I can't put art on hold while I'm a psychologist by day. I need this space to connect with what's important in my life

added comment inHow to Draw Accurate Proportions
I didn't know that I used a plum line when studying proportions. Thank you proko. Btw, did anyone figure out how to do those photoshop steps on clipstudio paint? I get stuck at the "alt click the mask". It doesn't select it

Not sure if it'll help, but alt clicking is the shortcut on photoshop, so it might be a different shortcut to select a mask on Clipstudio Paint.
Otherwise, you can probably just group the fill and the drawing together, and change the fusion mode of the fill inside the group. It might give a similar result.
And then lower the opacity of the group so you can see beneath it.

Aside from these mistakes (the inside lines of the legs are too thick and separate from each other. The beard is too thick too), what other things do you see that I could change to improve?

The left one is from Norman Rockwell and I drew the right one.

For this assignment, you want to observe the types of lines that Rockwell is making. Its not necessarily about coping his drawing, deconstructing his thoughts on mark making.
He uses quite a light outline around the head and uses the darkest marks to show facial features, shadows around the neck, or the glasses which add so much character.
Your shape design is looking pretty good, but consider the lineweights if you want to take your drawing to the next level.

This was fun but really challenging. I ended up doing two different final sketches. The first one felt like it didn't work with the squirrel anatomy and the head looked stuck on. The second idea was to do a gormless looking squirrel with arms hanging by it's sides. It ended up looking angry...

I like my wolf better than my shark.

After drawing a few bears, I decided to draw one with a pose that came from my imagination (the one at the bottom right corner)

First the fundamentals, then the big shapes, and after that, the small ones. I think I got it!

I did this with different subjects to practice today's assignment. It was complicated and fun to merge traits into a single character. I'm not convinced about the slightly sadistic aspect on my work, as for the rest I'd be happy to know if there's something I overlooked.

Does anyone know how much is the distance between the brow and the top eye lid?
Hi, Lionel
There's not really a official measure as the distance, angle, etc change from person to person. Sometimes drastically. I came across some men that have the eyebrow almost covering the top lid and women with really high brows
I find that the best way to find it is to draw the negative shape between the brow and the eyelid. Paying close attention and measuring the points where is closer and when is farther. Eventually it becomes automatic, so keep practicing.
