I decided to draw a simple library because I wanted to draw a bookshelf. I noticed my tendency to make everything shift a little bit to the upper right corner, and it was very annoying to fight it all the time

I tried doing a bunch to get a hang of it. I think I get better, but have a lot to improve. Especially line quality because I got very sloppy

You’re getting it! You found some nice shapes in these. As for the line quality, you just need to consciously remind yourself to keep your lines light and build them up. That will help you stay loose as well. Keep up the good work!

The first 10 before the demo and 11 more after. At the beginning, I tried too much just to copy what I saw and adjusted a little. After the demo, I began to think more about shapes and allowed myself to change more from reference. I like the latter ones more, so I hope I improved

Very tiring project, but really insightful. I now know that I am very bad at angles and tend to overexaggerate them. I saw slight angles between the eyes, cheekbones, and nose, but made it much more steeper. I didn't measure the placement of the corner of the jaw, nose, and ear properly at the beginning which impacted later stages

I overcomplicated things at the beginning and wasn't very happy with the first three. After the demo tried more and had a lot of fun. Even tried level 2, but the shape design is kinda lacking

I get what you mean. It does look like you warmed up and then were having more fun exploring proportions and shapes in the later ones. My favorite of all of these is the ostrich. That one's got so much personality that you really nailed in your drawing. I also really liked seeing all the different variations of the bird on the last page. That kind of thing is so important to how you learn to utilize reference and add character and you seem to have a good hold on that!

I tried doing it digitally. Maybe a little too timid with line weight, but happy with the result

I tried too much to clean up lines and used the eraser a lot. I watched the demo of a penguin and tried drawing a vr girl with a more sketchy mindset. And I like it the most

Glad that I attempted boots, but drawing laces is a pain
Melanie Scearce
It's tedious but you did a great job!

Happy with the shape, but I messed up and overcomplicated shadows. Applying values is hard
