Hi Michael! I agree with Bradwynn, you're lower thirds seem to be a bit smaller than the top, this might be the case with some people as Stan points out, but usually you want your thirds to match in size. I like how smooth your lines are, though. No hesitation and you seem pretty confident, I think that will help you a lot along the way. Great job!

Hello Everyone! Here's my attempt on this assignment. To me, it doesn't seem like he's looking down. What can I do to improve this?

Hi Michael! I think your exercise is very good, and the only reason I think it doesn't look like he is looking down is because the eyes are looking directly to the front. As the eyes look down, they seem smaller. I noticed that Stan's model is almost part of the straight line as the circles of the eyes are almost in line with the rest of the eye. Hope that helps a bit 😉

Any feedback appreciated. I think my hand is a bit heavy and the initial construction lines should be lighter. I guess that will improve with practice.

You are right, your hand will get accustomed to the pressure needed for the lines as you go. I think it is a good start, I just think that the bottom is a bit too wide for the model we are drawing, but people have different shapes so things should get clearer as we start going through features.

Having fun with the process! This reminded me of spacial visualization, or the ability to mentally manipulate 2d and 3d figures. I think this is a great exercise to train the brain for weird postures that are not the typical front profiles.

Starting out with the Loomis Head. A long road ahead. Great tool.

Very good! I really like how you shaded your heads, I think it helps separate light and adds even dimensionality to the exercise. I'm going to integrate that in my exercises as well, good idea! 👍
