Did I win a prize? No. Do I have any regret doing this art challenge? Absolutely NOT! I had an incredible time participating in this 12 day’s challenge and I think that being able to share my learning with others and connect with this community was a great prize in its own right. This was my first time participating in the Proko community. I am so glad that challenges like these exist so that people can come together and make awesome stuff. A huge congratulations to all the winners! I saw so many incredible pieces over the course of the twelve days and I truly believe all the winners deserve their prizes! Thanks to everyone that made this challenge possible and to all the participants who posted their work. I hope to participate in this community even more in the future and who knows maybe next year I’ll get the chance to do the 12 day’s challenge once more. Again thanks for the challenge and a huge thank you for the timer tool! I’ll be making good use of it. Happy Holidays to absolutely everyone!!

super last minute submission, i did two 2 minute studies, a 1 minute study, and then two 10 minute ones! i wanted to break my habit of both zooming to far into my canvas (+ physically leaning too close to my monitor) and relying to hard on the liquify tool to correct mistakes, and i think i was pretty successful!

It's the last day!! Thanks for the challenges, I really enjoyed participating. I joined a few days late but it was incredible!! Biggest of props to the Proko team and Stan Himself!!! It takes a lot of effort to put this kind of thing together but it turned out amazing. Huge shout out as well to all the artists who streamed and shared their knowledge and skills with us!! Finally a shout out to all the people who liked and especially to those who commented on my posts!! Thank you all! The last day was very fun and though the time to work was short I'm happy glad I got to use such an awesome photo pack.
I did a few 2 minute drawings and some 10 minute drawings as instructed. But to add in a little more fun I did two longer drawings. The first a pencil and the second a pencil to ink to color. Not my best work for sure but I'm still happy I did it and glad I can share it with so many people who love art. Happy Holidays to everyone and as always, happy drawing!

I just did a quick one today. I spent most of my time finishing my illustration from yesterday instead of doing today's challenge. Not much point in posting this since it's relatively low effort and there is only one drawing but I figured it doesn't hurt. I'm glad I did one at least. I'll be using the timer tool to do more in the future for myself, that's for sure. Tomorrow is the last day and it's going to be amazing. Ryan Benjamin? Comic book posing? I'm there. Let's finish these challenges with a bang everyone!!
Did something very different today and unfortunately I couldn’t finish it in time. If I do finish it I’ll post it in the comments of this post. I used elements from some of the references to add to the frame like the wings and the horns. This is such a great set of photos. I hope you like it. I did my best to capture the process. Thumbnail and studies to, paper layin, to digital painting. Let’s see if I can finish this piece while doing the challenges over the next two days. Happy drawing.

This is as far as I’m taking this one. I’m proud of the composition. If it was more polished I could see this being on a t shirt or something. Let me know what you think!

Dug out the gouache, and used the Zorn palette. I had so much fun with it that I lost track of time, so I think these where closer to 40min each 😅
Watercolour +colour pencils. 1hour+

Not sure if this counts as it is a bit of 3D modelling and rendering and some serious photo manipulation but… the photo on the left is one a mate took of me this summer that I used as a reference. Please note the beard was cleaned up in post ;)
2 unrefined quick studies

Haven't drawn expressions in so long! 5-10 min each

I love the middle drawing on the bottom! They’re all good but that ones my favorite.

Asked for help
Doing an expression like an emoji is kind of easy, but to make it look more expressive and simple and real takes me longer. Started with 2 minutes 5x, 4 minutes 2x and then another 3 for respectively 12, 15 and 15 minutes. Lost focus. I think it is a very good idea to do this more in a comic style, but I thought of that only now, while posting and seeing the beautiful expressions by Lois van Baarle. I was also playing around with brushes in procreate. So used an hb pencil and a 6b pencil and the procreate pencil. I like it when brushes give me a fine line when I am using the point and when I am overhand shading I want the same brush to give me the broader softer shades, like real pencils. It kind of works. But size wise I still need to adapt them for my preference. That makes me slower digitally than if I use paper... Anyway. I like participating in this challenge and I like it as an incentive to draw more (even though it is high season in the hotel) and I love the timer.

You did amazingly! I especially love the gentleman on the second page. My only piece of advice is to try and put in a simple neck more often. Even if it’s just a couple of lines it really places the head in space and makes the drawing feel more grounded. It can also add to the expression by showing the figures movement. Seriously though you are making great drawings! Can’t wait to see more

5 x 5 minutes, and 1 x 30 minutes. Any feedback welcome. Thanks.

You did great with all these drawings. My feedback would be (for the second page) to think about how the features of the face sit on the face. I think the face reads a little flat and that may be the shading but, to me it feels like the form of the head and features could have been more of a focus during the drawing. Only other thing would be to put less detail in the neck, it ages the individual and all draws the eye away from the face. Still, doing a rendered portrait in 30 minutes is not easy work and you should be really happy about how far you went in the time limit. Great job again, hope this helps.
This was a nice challenge ^^ (10-15 min sketches)

expressions are something I definitely need to work more!

You did well. I’d recommend using thinner lines to keep the images more clear. Line weight can make a huge difference. Try using darker and thicker lines only on the silhouette and the areas of great significance. Drawing the eyes with lines just as thick as the wrinkles can make a drawing feel flat. Also don’t be afraid to erase the construction lines at the end, even if it goes past the timer a little. Over all good stuff though, I especially like the drawing in the bottom right on the second page. I can tell what reference you used for all the drawings and that’s a solid sign. Getting a likeness is hard. Happy drawing, hope I helped.

I love both pages! I’m seriously impressed by the value organization you got in just 10 minutes
