Did 10x 30sec, 10x 1min, 10x 2min, then the same pose three times 10min each (except for the last I spent a few extra mins on) and then three other poses at 10mins. For the first page of 10min poses I tried to do the same pose but changed slightly, which was humbling 😅 Still very much a beginner at drawing from imagination. The last page I wanted to keep the energy of the gesture sketches into the 10min but I didn’t really manage that, I didn’t exaggerate the poses as I should’ve done. I’ll try that next time. Materials: mars lumograph and charcoal, ballpoint pen and brush pen, and graphite progresso.

super last minute submission, i did two 2 minute studies, a 1 minute study, and then two 10 minute ones! i wanted to break my habit of both zooming to far into my canvas (+ physically leaning too close to my monitor) and relying to hard on the liquify tool to correct mistakes, and i think i was pretty successful!

Wow excellent work adding character to the poses!

Once I understood the structure of the body, I was convinced that it would be easy to draw shadows. I completed all 12 days challenge. I had fun. Thank you so much.

A couple of 1-minute gestures. It has been a good 12 days.

You've really captured the energy in these poses. Especially the top right and bottom left.

Back to basics - rewatched some of prokos videos on the figure on YT. It’s been a while since I’ve done these exercises. 1min beans, 2mins robo beans, and 5mins and 10mins adding a bit of structure. It’s a bit messy so I’ll need to practice these concepts again. Especially need to practice getting clean lines and starting with the gesture even for the longer pose. Still, it was good to get into it again. Charcoal pencil on paper.

Started with a bunch of 4min sketches and while doing that found a pose I really like, so I tested some materials and did a final drawing with a fineliner and brush pen.

These were fun. Again, great sample pack. I did 10x 3mins, 2x 10min, and one 20min. Mars lumograph on newsprint. Doing gesture yesterday really helped with doing today's exercise.

I’ve watched some stuff by Force instructors before but I knew it was beyond what I was able to grasp at the time. But finally today watching some of the livestream I feel it’s starting to click :) Anyway I did 5 poses at 5 mins, 4 at 2mins, 5 at 1min, then 6 at 30s and finally because I loved this pose pack so much and wanted to do all the poses, I finished off the last 8 poses at 1min. My focus was slipping at this point but I’m glad I pushed through anyway. Used different materials for each new time to be able to distinguish them. In order I used, progresso (graphite stick), charcoal pencil, Mars lumograph, charcoal stick, and back to charcoal pencil again. Usually I go short to long but I actually really like starting with the longer pose this time. I would love it if the proko timer had a customisable ‘class’ feature.

Two of these are 5 min sketches, one is 10 min. It's funny because I don't see a difference, but I can tell 5 min sketches felt a lot easier. It felt like freedom. Adding the extra 5 mins only added stress for details and I realized I'm using a couple of minutes on stupid staring and analyzing what I'm doing, instead of using all the minutes on actually drawing lines. Anyway, I have dreaded drawing anything in under 20 minutes, but really enjoyed doing these 5 min sketches with the timer tool. There are definitely many more sessions ahead and I'm now encouraged and excited to do quick sketches on other things than gesture, too. Awesome tool!

Decided to start with learning more about the pecs and deltoids. Watched some of Proko’s free videos and then read and copied the drawings in that particular section of Mike Mattesi’s force anatomy book. Then drew from some other reference before finally using today's sample pack on the proko timer (second image). Spent 5-10 minutes on each pose. Still haven’t quite fully grasped this anatomical part but it’s a a start and I’m enjoying learning about it. I’m very rusty at the moment so thank you for this 12 day challenge Stan, it’s gotten me back into drawing and excited about it again.
