Hello! Happy to be doing this course. I took my sweet time with this one. I was surprised at how difficult I found coming up with my seed was. You can probably see where I started to really engage with the process. In either case, these are my Yard (as in Scrapyard) Golems! All powered by human hearts! I'm going to spend some more time on ideation sheets before I move on to the next phase of the course. My idea (based off of the critique videos) is to pull a few of these I like and push them further with their own sheets. I will say once this process started to click - and once I was willing to make it my own - I think it really started to work for me. Plus I started bringing draw small for big ideas and filling in profiles into my sketchbook as well!

Somehow these measured studies get way more off than my usual ones. question: how do you go about finding the side points (farthest points left and right) better after establishing the height line with the center? This is where I still have the most trouble.

The Angle study is really clever. Your line are super confident. I have the same issues finding measurement lines to the side, but have an easier point when I can try and focus on areas of negative space to help measure them out! Great work! Keep it up!

So this is actually one of my measure practices but when I went to post...I couldn't find my reference photo! Oh well, I thought I'd get it up anyways! Some of the internal measurement are off. Gotta be a bit more fastidious with my plumb lines.

Hey y'all. Struggling significantly with gestures. These were 45 second gestures from this movement: https://www.bodiesinmotion.photo/motions/1813/fullscreen?index=0 Some I ran out of time, one I took a second stab at I would deeply appreciate some guidance on what I'm not seeing or doing. It feels like as soon as I start drawing with the timer, I have no idea what I'm doing again

If you're having trouble with the timer you should lengthen or remove it until you feel more comfortable condensing form and movement down. I forget which video but I *believe* Stan makes that suggestion. Once you get your legs underneath you you can apply it again. For what it's worth I think you have some great C and S curves here, your lines are confident and you are demonstrating movement. Keep at it!!

Hi!!! I've just finished the assignment examples videos! I feel that something is not there with my robo beans. Is it the proportions? Is it that I loose the gesture in some way? Thank you in advance for the feedback

I think these look great, it looks like you're working out problem areas internally. I recommend watching the critique video if you haven't yet, they usually help me identify problems and course correct in my own work! Keep it up!

I think my biggest issue initially was loosening up especially with gesture, but I think I'm starting to come around! Things definitely go a lot smoother with a relaxed hand.
