Piano-crab bio-robot! Future Earth is an entirely underwater planet, devoid of most old forms of life. New creatures have evolved out of the detritus of human civilization and the background radiation of nuclear fallout. Here we see such a creature, an old player piano that has found parts and turned itself into a collector crab. It hunts for old antique shops deep under the water and steals away the contents to add to its wooden shell. I actually created this image for a previous proko challenge, and it didn't win anything. I thought it was perfect for the theme this month, and so I am giving it a second life! I hope you enjoy it.

Hi everyone! I'm glad to show you my final submission for February 2022 Proko Challenge! Here's my odd bot concept, inspired by the oddest kangaroo drawing I've ever seen [reference pic in the comment below] :) For this one, I've combined 2D and 3D. The challenge was a huge getting out of my comfort zone experience for me. The last time I was drawing bots was a few years ago. I hope you'll enjoy it! Good luck to everyone!!

Hi Prokopeeps, this is my submission for the odd bots challenge: the Mesmerant. It's a small espionage device. It can move quickly and silently and it is highly adaptable. It can change shape to reach tricky spots or find unexpected ways to enter/exit buildings. It is equipped with cameras for recording, heat signature, and night vision. It bears no weapons, but a screen opens when under threat and displays hypnotic patterns to stun and distract humans while the bot makes its escape. Made with fineliners and gauche on paper (apologies for the low-quality picture). Thank you for the fun challenge!

Here is my submission for this brand new year's first #prokochallenge (Are these hashtags required here as well?) for @Tiffanie Mang 's landscape thumbnails! I'll post the references in the reaction on this entry. I am actually proud of them, I had to redo a lot but got somewhere in the end ;-) How did you guys do?

Second entry trying to study how to paint forests. I find them so complicated but how to differentiate with clumps of green? The first two were done from screenshots, from Marnie and Me and Ponyo respectively because I love how Studio Ghibli does forest scenes. However not sure if these studies worked as thumbnails so I went back to some more gouache tutorials and started working from photos again. Painted with a Number 10 round brush (it's all I have) and the Caran Dache pan gouache set which is unfortunately difficult to paint thickly with. Constructive criticism welcome!

Here is my collection of five mini landscapes for the Tiffanie Mang-Proko challenge! These are all done in gouache from a combination of direct observation and memory. I used only a 3/4 inch flat brush and a medium-sized, pointed round, and sometimes a colored pencil. Here are some goals I had: I wanted to paint all of these from life, around my home. I wanted each to present a different challenge (how do you paint a scene in pitch black for example? Or in freezing cold? Bright light? Fleeting light? etc.) I tried to simplify the scenes, using cleaner sweeps of the brush, keeping a little focused detail only where necessary. I hoped for each painting to stand on its own, but also as part of a cohesive set. I found interesting ways to accomplish these goals. For example, using dry media to start in the cold weather (to avoid frozen paint), or working partly from memory in the case of the darker scenes. This was one of my favorite challenges so far. I hope you enjoyed it too! Please leave a comment if you like.

Hi all, my name is Julia Kamenskikh, and this is my official entry for #prokochallenge organized by @tiffaniemangart and @prokotv Five tiny paintings, all sized by 2 in x 2 in. Painted with gouache and 3/4 in brush. And I think those are the smallest paintings ever done before. And cannot express how much I’ve enjoyed it. You are forced to simplify and it feels like solving a puzzle to me. I will be definitely doing these again, thank you Tiffany for such a great idea and all organizers for organizing this! All photos are taken by me.

Hey everyone, first time poster here. I'm really excited to join the community. Here is my series of 2''x2'' gouache urban landscapes (and a few images I used as references inspirations). These were all done with a large flat brush. I'm quite new to the medium (and to landscapes in particular), this has been an extremely educational challenge. I'm usually more comfortable with small brushes so this one really tested my patience! Thanks for the great courses and for sharing your experience.
