well done David :) real pro, sticking with your course till the end!
wonderful drawing skills Eliza, just the way I'd love to draw myself :) keep merging the portraits, stylizing them to your own taste, adding some impressionistic elements etc.

When I look at everyone else’s assignments post, I think I didn’t follow what Proko was saying about simplifying.
But I had fun, also could someone tell me if I did the assignment right or not and what I need to fix if I did thanks.

those are actualy looking really amazing, I dunno if they need more simplification if it reduces their amazing design. Oh and your lineart is really nice as well !

throwing lines ^^

more playing with lines, trying to get confident bold lines across the whole page, trying some circular movements too, some crosshatching.

Here are my assignments, it was very fun and much harder to execute than I thought. It can get complex pretty fast once u put more intricate shapes in play, figuring out where exactly light hits on the shape and what shape will the shadows take was the hardest part for me.

I have been observing this course comment section to determine whether I purchase or not. Its clear that there has been no response from proko team on whats going on with the rest of the course. I am a bit discouraged

yeah feels bad, I'll never ever pre-purchase anything again, creators just lose interest to finish courses that fade over time with new fresh recruits buyin it.
What's even more troublesome is no response from neither David or Proko team, change the system guys, we don't want to see Proko as an cashgrab site throwing all kinds of courses around spreading yourselves too thin not being able to finish em and respond to simple questions about the update.

good stuff I've purchased the Marvel course so I was like "wtf, Ryan made 16 or so new notifications, what is this!?" :D figured its a new course to delve a bit deeper into the drawing basics which I've gone through on several courses already but It never hurts to learn more from different perspective, definitively getting this one asap :)

Just a thought...but I've seen people that can draw amazing doing digital, but when they draw on paper it doesn't look nearly as good. Is there an advantage to learning to draw on paper first? With digital it seems like you don't have to worry as much about pressure, because you can just hit the undo button. That eyes too big...I'll just resize it. That looks so messy...I can just fade the lines and draw over it. Thoughts?

I'm actually more confident drawing traditionally, lineart appears harder for me to do digitally, I just like the feel of pencil and paper more than my wacom Intuos 4m pen and tablet. Painting on the other hand seems so much more creative digitally for me, I can do whatever I want there, I learned to render crips on high resolutions and digitally I strugle with mixing paint, applying what I wish on the canvas and so on, brushes and paint rarely listen to my ideas :D

The lay-in is done with a red pencil. The more refined lines are done with a HB-pencil. I ran out of red pencil during the drawing of the robot-girl, so the that's why she got a blue head, lol. I also ran out of place on my page to draw the circular thingy at the right place.
Also in hindsight I see that I have drawn the biggest forearm ever on the hand drawing.
All drawings done on A4-sized paper.
