I am in love with the classic painted Hollywood movie poster aesthetic, especially horror ones. It's amazing how busy, bright and colourful they were compared to their modern counterparts! So, I've decided to take every artist's nightmare and the story of my life essentially, and turn it into a classic scary flick. Enjoy! I'm sure you all can relate ;P Painted digitally from scratch.

Hi everyone! So i am experimenting lately with more minimal designs while painting. Title: En las Nubes (roughly translated to "Daydreaming" if i'm right) Travelling has being a part of my life both as something i like to do (as a hobby) and also for work. This later years i have being really inclined towards creation, which i think is what calls me more, so for me, is kind of a trip inside my own mind.

This is my entry for this month’s prokochallenge! I imagine myself being one of my original characters in an animated short film called "Windroots", which is about 3 close friends on a great journey.

Oof thought I wasn't going to make it, so close Was a bit hesitant on going for a more gloomy tone but it's a theme that speaks to me a lot and hopefully I was able to properly communicate it! Hope you like it!

HELLO everyone, here it is my movie poster. I tried to create a poster for a sci-fi movie, which would be center around a journey between planets, self-discovery and improvement. Those were and are topics of great interest to me, especially anything related to astronomy. Since I can remember, I have been fascinated by what is out there, but more recently I have been on a self-journey and try to understand myself, so I decided to combine those topics into a sci-fi movie. Hope you all like it.

I haven’t got much to say apart from: thank you Proko for giving me a motive to finally practice graphic design. It really was an interesting journey- revisiting these memories - and I am happy to share a glimpse of it. Inspired by old thriller/detective movie posters.

My submission for the challenge, hope you all like it. I'm a 22yo architecture student who loves movies, philosofy, music, drawings and paintings. I find myself in a constant search for a "truth", an ideal world where there is purpose and meaning behind our actions. Besides the inside of my own head, that world lies in art, and it is like a window to a perfect world, a wholy different place, a better place. My brain started buzzing as soon as I read the challenge prompt and I couldn't resist! I little bit of my background: I moved to Iowa all the way from California a few years ago for a "day job" at a stained glass studio. I know, it's an awesome day job! I recently was able to switch to part-time so that I could balance freelancing and life more feasibly. To speak more on my experience of Iowa: it is completely magical and full of romance and adventure! ;) Movie premise: In a a world where steam technology reigns supreme, the increasingly industrialized world is starting to strain the Earth's natural resources. Stained glass has become a fashionable construction material and the mining of rare metals used to produce the most vibrant shades has gauged deep quarries. In a battle to save what is left of nature, one young woman sets out to manufacture glass with alchemic magic. Strict regulations and fierce hoarding of resources makes alternative glass manufacturing a dangerous--even deadly--enterprise. What will happen when the burgeoning alchemist faces a world hell-bent on excavation? Fun facts about stained glass: - stained glass windows are still crafted with real lead (toxic) - red glass is legit made with actual gold (it is way more expensive than other glass colors) - Alchemy played a role in modern glass manufacturing (sans transmutation circles) I am at a good finishing point, but I think I would like to continue finessing later down the line. Here is my submission for this months art challenge. This movie is called “The Voyage”  When I saw that the theme of the challenge was a “My Life Movie Poster” I knew exactly what I wanted to create. For the past year I’ve been working on creating a fantasy world filled with mermaids, harpies, sirens, pirates and more. My biggest problem is that I’m terrible at writing and coming up with stories, so I’ve contented myself with drawing one scene at a time, hoping that I’ll be able to tie the individual scene together down the road.   This challenge has given me that opportunity to pull those fantasy pieces together into one movie!  Thanks for checking out my submission. Hello there everyone! I almost missed the deadline, but here I am ! I wanted my movie to be one of those cool Laika Studio stop motion animations, so I made the poster to evoke that kind of abstract way of dealing with feelings that their movies have. The movie itself would be about how hard is to predict what is yet to come and the difficulty to trust those who come along the way (represented by the three eyes on the left). All of the faces here are supposed to be self portraits, I drew them all by hand (with pen and paper) and them vectorized everything (with inkscape and a very bad mouse) to correct proportions, finalize the composition and put some textures and colors. Anyways, here is the result (hopefully some of you will dig it !).
