I've been following this first version of the curriculum for 14 months now. I've bent it and shaped it here and there to help myself achieve my specific goals. I've written weekly blog posts at https://litmusik.medium.com where I track all the drawing that I've done and progress that I've made. I've found that the structure is just what I need to keep me motivated. I didn't realize there was a second version. I'll have to take a look.

Hello. I've been studying drawing for 15 months, averaging about 30 hours per week. I am currently using half my study time to do master studies and learn new concepts, and half my time to produce original art. I am interested in becoming a comic book penciler. I've included the first three pages of my original comic. Thank you for your time!

What was your training regimen like when you started taking art seriously (e.g., hours per week, types of exercises, goals).

Any advice for transitioning from traditional materials to digital? It's difficult to get used to not being able to see my hand while I draw.

Hello. I've been practicing drawing fundamentals for 1 year and my goal is to work as a comic artist and eventually write and illustrate my own graphic novels. This year my goal is to make the jump from copying images, to drawing from imagination. All the images I'm posting here are studies of other artists because my drawings from imagination turn out so poorly.

I've been studying drawing fundamentals seriously for 1 year and my goal is to do comic art (penciling). What percentage of my study time would you recommend using to draw from imagination vs. copying comic art (master studies) vs. practicing fundamentals? How did you spend your practice time during your formative years?
