So I don't know about you guys, but everytime I visit your pages to find your entries and artworks, I only find seas of comments to go throug before I get to your work. So, if you visited my page to see my entry, here is the link to the post :) https://www.proko.com/s/MEdf I'll try not to react too much anymore or at least repost this link every so often? Maybe you guys can do the same?

Lovely! Especially 2 ,4 and 5. With some extra cheese on those gorgeous palmtrees! Those should be printed on stuff, T shirts?

These were done with Alcohol Markers and a white Gel pen. I tried first with acrylic, but those didn’t go very well. Hopefully these ones are okay. This is my first challenge!

Hello! For my thumbnails I wanted to go with an homage to the "giants that work for us" but often go unappreciated - power lines, transformers, signage, etc. I've been wanting to get into gouache for quite a while so this was the perfect kick in the pants to go get started! Thank you as always, to everyone involved for putting on these challenges.

Wow! You really pulled those references together with your color decisions! Nicely done!

My submissions! I did around 60 total and picked my favorites. I had lots of fun learned a lot doing these, especially trying to get some nice hue variation without losing my value organization. Thanks for holding this challenge :D

These turned out so nice! But like @Charlene I also have to go for those lovely colour decisions you made in 4 and 5!

This is my second submission. Last one was gouache, this one is digital. In both cases I relied on direct observation, followed by a pass or two using memory to "sweeten" the image into the one I recall. For this digital set, I followed the sun around the house in its last hour, going from window to window to capture different views and stages of sunset. I moved very fast while observing the scene, and then took more time to improve color and to try to simplify the design. I had posted these earlier to the "in progress" section, so good thing I caught that mistake! It gave me time to reevaluate. I'll post the rough versions in a comment below.

I just really wanted to complement you for the order you placed your 5 landscapes in. It starts so warm and tasty, gradually loosing color like a day that is ending! Lovely work!

What a fun challenge! I was on a lovely ski vacation to the Rockies and snapped as many photos for this particular challenge. One of the most striking images occurred while I was driving alongside the Bow River on Highway 1, and I could not safely take a photo, hence Reference 1 is a collage of photos taken on that trip plus a Google Image of where I was on the highway.

My own work for this contest. I'm not really sure if it is up to the scratch but I decided to post it here anyway, because I did do something related to it. I didn't use any reference material so its all based on my visual library. I hope you have a good time viewing the work! (I will certainly be doing more of this kind of work as it really is an exercise of its own kind, and almost ideal for working with composition of both values and colours. Also just very fun in general)

When I saw your name twice in a row with such different works I was very confused. You have created a nice collection of muted colors here! I also really deeply love your handwriting! I know that that is not part of the assignment. But couldn't you just start a channel where you do landscapes with some scribblings like @a.aradilla on IG? :D

So for this contest, my brother wanted to try out the medium of painting, and I encouraged him to try gouache with watercolours. He is rather skilled with pencils and the like, but has not really painted much before. So this contest's entry is actually by my 11-year-old brother, Abdul-Ahad Zulfiqar: He used reference photos but only loosely and "for inspiration" :) I hope you have a good time viewing the work!

Used a size 18 flat brush and gouache for my entries. Photo references from a friend in Italy. These were so relaxing to do!

Hi, I used my own photography taken at Geneva Lake, the weather has been in the lower teens and dipping below zero making it unsutable for painting out. I loved the challenge of painting from photos and small. I used M Graham Gouache on cur Bristol board. Thank You for the challenge. Thinking that this might be perfect for a morning exercise.

Hello! First I want to say that this was a very intersting approach I will continue doing and even though I played it secure and did it digitally I also got motivated to get an easel and clean the dust off my gouaches. So definetely will be doing plein air this year.. About the entry itself I took the opportunity to write a couple of verses for each image so it could fulfill the storytelling part of it. Thank you for the challenge and greetings from Colombia!

Hi, These are my first attempts, I read that we coud enter more than once, if that is not so, please use my entry below. Using my own Photography, Geneva Lake, weather has limited onsite painting. I used M Graham Gouache on bristol board 2x2. Enjoyed the challenge and seeing everyones entries and how they work. Thank You again.

I have learned a lot from this experience. The first 3 submissions are gouache and the 2 with an orange border are in oil. When I put them together to photograph I realized that the gouache paintings are 1.5” x1.5”. Good thing I’m not a carpenter. I have been observing the sky at different times of day this winter on the Jersey shore.

Hey guys, for this challenge I painted a Wild Western theme. The idea is that a man is on his wits end; looking for some kind of hope after loosing the love of his life. He’s always lived on his family farm near a train station and would always see it pass by; wondering what lies beyond the rail road tracks. The man gets tired of being in the house and just starts walking. Every scene reminds him of a wonderful moment he shared with her. This was my first time using Gouache and had a lot of fun with it! Thanks you!

Nice theme! I would've liked to see the monochome in another color (still monochromatic) to match the rest better. Good job!
