Hey Roon! Great skulls, I like the boldness of your shapes! I also enjoy the "squash and stretch" ones. One thing I instantly notice is the highlights on your painted skull that are on the front of the skull, specifically the two in the center, act almost as a flattener to the entire image because they don't follow the form as it would in real life. I would study the way light falls on a sphere, because that's most close to how the front of the skull acts. There are also great free apps in the app store that let you move the skull around in 3-D to fully see its form.
Good luck in your future studies! Great things will come from you in the future.

Thank you for the feedback! I can see what you mean with the highlights, I will make sure to do some sphere studies so I can understand this better. I will also be looking for some 3D skull apps!

Hey Roon, good job on these!
To me they read as sort of flat. I can tell that they're skulls, but the forms aren't reading as well as they could. Something that might help is defining the edges on the shadows. Right now I can get a rough idea on where they are, but the actual edges of them don't feel like they have any specific end points.
Doing this would help create form, and in turn make them look less flat.
Hope this helps!
