Great work B! I love the blue light on the right end of the canvas. I think if you accentuated that light source a little more, perhaps having it reflect on the trees, that would create a great effect. Other than that, I might recommend trying to tighten up your rendering just a little bit, that way the forms are more readable. Other than that, great job.

would you mind to post a link of the original piece to see how it looks like and based on that what could be improved?

Critiques needed for digital painting2yr
Hello! I'm trying to improve my digital painting technique. My aim is to make my painting seems credible in terms of light and shadow and form.
Here I post my last digital painting (a master study after Rob Alexander)
Any critique would be welcome!

I think they're very good! The shapes and the values look right to me.
As for a instructor for traditional painting, I definitely recommend James Gurney. Check his videos at the youtube. He's very good and didatic!

The technique is definitely good Tiberius!.
My only advice would be to add some variety in the size and shape of the trees in the middleground. I don't know how to explain why, but I think that would create a distance feeling in the painting.

Hello!
I would like to ask if there's any recommended material list that we should have to follow this course.
Thanks!
