Gustav Rehberger is an artist I have recently found out about whose figure drawings and mark-making are filled with power and energy. Some videos of Rehberger working have been recently posted on YouTube -- the sound and video quality is lacking, but you can see him working with the overhand grip. You can check out some of his drawings here: https://www.gustavrehbergerfineart.com/drawings

I have just completed the homework for the Arm Bones. The first image is just me trying my best on my own. The second image is the next attempt after watching the Examples. After I have completed the secound try, I watched the critique video and saw that I made some of the mistakes mentioned. So I corrected some of them to the best of my abilities on the last image. I am very new to this and I am quite unsure as to how to present my homeworks. I appriciate any critique regarding my attempt, as well as on the presentation.

Nice work! The image w/ only two drawings is much easier to interpret than the ones w/ many drawings. I've attached a bit of feedback about the anatomy of the elbow -- mainly that the olecranon should have some thickness to it, and that the origin of the forearm extensors show you where the lateral epicondyle of the humerus is (hence, that is the end of the humerus).

Cool image of Arnold! However, this is not really a gesture drawing. In gesture drawing, we are trying to capture the "flow" of the whole body and from form to form. Body builders are really tough to make gesture drawings of because they are so focused on sculpting massive, structural bodies (and structure is kinda the enemy of gesture -- the more structure you show, the harder it will be to show gesture) You can think of ballet dancers as almost the opposite of body-builders -- they focus on making beautiful gestures with their bodies, with everything from their finger tips to their toes beautifully aligned, and generally try *not* to have big, bulging muscles.

It is great that you are giving yourself some projects to work on! However, I would recommend working with nude or lightly clothed figures while you are learning to draw the figure. So much is hidden by the clothes in these images (especially all of the landmarks) that it would take a pretty large amount of knowledge and experience to accurately imagine where the body structures might be.
