My attempt to ape Stan's drawing. Advice to other beginners: TEST OUT THE CHARCOAL POWDER FIRST It's more tricksy than it looks and you'll quickly find out whether you are using the correct brushes... Other than thay keep at it! My skill level is still pretty low but I learned a lot watching this. Reccomend watching each section carefully and listening to what Stan has to say - there's a ton of super useful information here.

Glen looks great! What brushes did you end up landing on? I am trying to figure out what size for both the Filbert and Flat brush as well as what bristle type etc.

What are the brush sizes for the filbert and flat brush? Also, does it matter what medium they are made for (watercolor, acrylic, oil, etc.)? Finally, does it matter if they are nice brushes or will a basic/economic level brush be adequate? Thanks!

Are there any working parents out there who have a balanced study schedule for art? I am a 37 year old who has 2 little kids and can give my art maybe an hour (sometimes two) each day. I am very new to this and really enjoy it. I am currently focusing on drawing. Should I just be attacking classes and assignments each day? Should I break up my week and have days that are for classroom and days that are for practicing and applying new skills?
