I never draw without a reference but after finishing the L1 I decided to challenge myself. I wanted to force myself to not copy so I imagined my subject in a totally different environment playing golf.

I can see my pear doesn't look quite right, it doesn't look 3D. I think the portrait turned out slightly better.
