Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Painting

Happy Holidays! I decided to do a digital painting of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to try out my new Wacom Cintiq 24HD. I used Photoshop CC and these cool brushes I found:

“Photoshop Inking Brush Tool Presets” includes some pencils and inking brushes

Kyle Webster has some nice brushes that mimic paints, pastels and other media

Wow! Fun and wonderful Christmas greeting. Unfortunately you set off a tech addiction. Must get cintiq HD but I’ll get the 13 inch. Have been reading non stop reviews. Have a tablet but can’t stand it because of the disconnect. Draw on tablet see it on computer screen, ugh. So use it infrequently. My addiction thanks you and the artist in me is inspired.

    • Haha, sorry Janet. I understand the desire to want one after seeing it. I couldn’t resist! If you do a lot of digital painting it really is worth it though… I’ve had a wacom tablet for 10 years but never really did any digital painting because of the disconnect. With this Cintiq it’s much more enjoyable.

btw, if you’re looking at reviews check out Ray Frenden’s tumblr. He reviews a lot of tablets – http://frenden.com/tagged/review
